Our founder, Josef Grill, has been involved in IT and web hosting since 1997. He established and built his first web hosting company, which became the largest in the country. After successfully selling the business, he spent a few years in “retirement,” only to return with an even bigger vision—creating WEDOS, a company focused on innovation, security, and cutting-edge technology. Based in Hluboká nad Vltavou, we operate two private data centers, built exclusively with our own technology. Our second data center features an innovative oil bath cooling system, reflecting our commitment to technological advancements and environmental sustainability. In recent years, we have expanded beyond web hosting into IT security, launching a global project under the WEDOS Global brand. With expertise in cybersecurity, DDoS mitigation, CDN, DNS, and website protection, our anycast network leverages thousands of servers worldwide to provide fast, secure, and scalable solutions for businesses across the globe. As part of our long-term strategy, we are relocating our headquarters to Luxembourg. This move aligns with our goal to become a European leader in cybersecurity while strengthening our presence on the international market. In 2024, we further expanded our global presence by establishing additional companies under the holding WEDOS Group SA, headquartered in Luxembourg. Our international offices now include: UK, LU, CZ, DE, SG. We aim to become a global company with customers from around the world, and this move is an essential part of our ambitious expansion.
